Starting to Assemble

The legs of the chest of drawers are shaped, now it's time for some assembly. Here I'm pre-gluing the slip tenons into the legs.

Bandsaw Anxiety

I don't know why, but there's always some level of apprehension before bandsawing shapely legs. I don't know why, but I'm glad when it's over, successful and time for cleaning things up with hand tools. 

That "Just Right" Feeling

A sweet fitting sliding dovetail. It's a snug fit, but let's you know it will go all the way home. Too tight for water based glued, so I'll use either polyurethane or epoxy.

Stack of Slips

Slip tenons, that is. Are slip tenons faster than integral tenons? I don't really know, but I definitely prefer the process of cutting slip tenons as compared to integral tenons. The setup is way less finicky, but still yields really precise results.
